Jan & Dean + Laurel & Hardy

From our good friend Bob Duncan...............Rhino Records has just released “Carnival of Sound” – this is the never-before released 1968 album that was to be the “comeback” album for Jan & Dean, especially after Jan’s long and difficult rehab from his auto accident.  This was the album that was to include the song “Laurel & Hardy” – Jan Berry’s tribute to the boys.  The release includes a very detailed booklet about the album.  Here’s some comments by Jan Berry about “Laurel & Hardy” - “When I was in the hospital my dad set up a movie projector and showed every Laurel & Hardy picture he could get his hands on.  Boy, I was popular with the hospital staff and patients.  Everybody would crowd into the room and crack up laughing.  So when I started composing again, I decided to do a song about them because their comedy helped me through a bad time".  He couldn’t have summed up what these films were all about any better than that.  For more information about this CD, click on the Jan & Dean + Laurel & Hardy link above.
